What are the other work VISAs? <\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\nThe Talent passport<\/span><\/strong> is available if you belong in one of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n- skilled recent graduates<\/li>\n
- employees of an innovative company<\/li>\n
- highly-skilled workers (EU Blue Card holders)<\/li>\n
- employees on a \u2018mission\u2019 with a French work contract<\/li>\n
- researchers\/scientists<\/li>\n
- champions of an innovative economic project<\/li>\n
- economic or financial investors<\/li>\n
- company representatives<\/li>\n
- artist\/performers<\/li>\n
- a person internationally or nationally renowned in science, literature, arts, education, sports, and so on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\nThe EU Blue Card <\/span><\/strong>if you have the following:<\/p>\n\n- A 3 year degree (Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher) or 5 years of experience in your field of expertise.<\/li>\n
- Have a +1 year contract with a monthly salary at least 1.5 times the French average gross annual salary (53,836 euros in 2017)<\/li>\n
- You have worked in your field of expertise for at least 2 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
After 18 months, you will be granted the authorization to work anywhere in the EU. After 5 years, your family will receive a residence and work permit.<\/p>\n
The Expatriate Employee Permit <\/span><\/strong>is for any employee of a company based in France (for at least 3 months) who is being sent to France on an assignment. You must make at least 1.8 times the minimum wage (around EUR 2,664 per month). This permit is valid for 3 years.<\/p>\n\u2018Exceptional economic contribution\u2019 permit <\/strong><\/span>is the investor VISA as you know it in U.S. You must be investing a large amount of money in France (at least EUR 10 million in tangible or intangible assets) or planning to create more than 50 jobs to be eligible for a 10-year residence permit<\/p>\nThere are also special VISAs for au pairs, scientists, students… but they are not actual “work” VISA so once again, if you need information about them go to a French Consulate.<\/p>\n
