When we speak about<\/span> France<\/span>, we mostly talk about<\/span> Paris or the French Riviera<\/a>, Cannes or Nice. But<\/span> the Hexagon<\/span> expands far beyond its land boundaries, overseas.<\/span><\/p>\n

We call them<\/span> DROM-COM<\/strong><\/span> or formerly called DOM-TOM<\/strong> which means\u00a0<\/span>D\u00e9partements, R\u00e9gions et Collectivit\u00e9s d’Outre-mer <\/span><\/em>(Overseas departments, regions and collectivizes). Distant territories from Metropolitan France.<\/span><\/p>\n

The DROM, departments and regions<\/strong> are ruled by the same laws as the metropolis, but those can be adapted depending on the specific needs of the territory.<\/span> (Article 73 of the Constitution<\/span><\/em>)<\/p>\n

In addition to the local particularity, those territories are also famous to be amazing vacation spots<\/span> where we speak French<\/span>.<\/p>\n
